PRAISENME began long before our first body oil. About five years ago, I started making my own lip glosses from scratch, blending oils, playing with textures, and infusing them with native rongoā like kawakawa. At the time, I was mucking around and using it as a creative outlet.
Years later, I started thinking about how I could turn it into something bigger.
In 2025, I decided to create my own body care line, starting with our first product: a coconut and kukui nut body oil made to leave skin soft, glowing, and beautifully scented. As I started developing the range, I noticed something missing in the market.
There were beautiful body care products.
There were natural skincare products.
There were tropical scents.
But I didn’t see many brands bringing together the native plants of our whenua with the juicy, sun-soaked fruits and scents of the Pacific — in a way that felt modern, indulgent, and made for us.
That became what PRAISENME is today.

PRAISENME is built around native botanicals like kawakawa, mamaku, mānuka and harakeke — plants that have been valued in rongoā Māori for generations.
We pair these ingredients with tropical, nostalgic, summer-inspired scents like pineapple, passionfruit, mango, coconut, lime, lychee, vanilla and warm woods. Scents that feel like holidays, whānau, sunshine, island air, and golden skin after a day in the sun.

PRAISENME is Māori-owned and whānau-supported. I am Māori, and my partner is Māori Cook Islander. Together, we own and run the business, with the help, support, and love of our whānau. This brand is personal to us. It comes from our identity, our cultures, our homes, our memories, and our desire to create products that feel beautiful, but also meaningful.
Our dream is to keep bringing these products to our people, while sharing them with everyone who connects with them. To create skin and body care that feels like it belongs on your bathroom shelf, in your beach bag, at the markets, in your routine, and in your everyday life.
