A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Kia ora, thank you for taking the time to read about my journey with PRAISENME. It’s been a long journey that began five years ago, but for a while travel and work took priority. At the beginning of 2025, I finally made the decision to leave my 9–5 and fully dedicate myself to my pakihi. Being settled back home in the King Country helped me feel grounded and stable, so I took a leap of faith.
I started PRAISENME after noticing a gap in the skincare market. There weren’t many products that blended rongoā rākau (plant healing) with the tropical Pacific scents we all love. That inspired my first product, Coco Lust — a nourishing, luxurious body oil made with pure coconut oil, kukui nut oil, and a soft shimmering glow. The first scent, Sol Crush, has since become a firm favourite.
The name PRAISENME comes from my little cousin Praise. She lives at our whānau homestead in Oparure and attends Te Wharekura o Maniapoto. She holds a very special place in my heart, as I’ve been close to her growing up, with my uncle raising her as a single dad. While this pakihi is owned by me, it’s run with the support of my whānau. They help label and jar products, come to markets with me, and support me in every way they can. So when you support PRAISENME, know that you’re receiving a product made with love, care, and many hands.
